Instructions: Print out the document and make sure that no page scaling is preset. Cut out the template along the red dotted line. Place the watch on your wrist and pull the strap through the cut slit. Make sure that the template is not too tight on your wrist and that you have a little space between your fingers.
Please note that leather underbands result in a longer strap length.

McQUEEN AND HIS 417 ES
THE ONE HE CHOSE
How he came to own the watch is not fully documented.
Starting in 1963, numerous photographs show McQueen wearing the watch again and again, at races as well as on film sets. Much of this suggests it was one of his favorite pieces, one that stayed with him constantly.

RACER, ACTOR, ICON.
With films like The Great Escape and Bullitt, Steve McQueen shaped the image of the cool, independent antihero, restrained on screen yet unmistakable. This role earned him the nickname King of Cool.
His second great passion was motorsport. At motorcycle races, he competed under the pseudonym Harvey Mushman, to avoid the attention on his person and to keep the studios from learning the full extent of his risk. Winning alone meant little to him. What he was really after was the challenge itself, long distances, brutal conditions, the physical toll. He didn't shy away from any of it. He loved it.
He wore the same watch through both lives. His Hanhart 417 ES.
THE FULL PACKAGE
A BOX FULL OF HISTORY
The watch's license card is designed in the style of a driver's license. Its model is McQueen's international FIM license from 1964, auctioned at Bonhams in 2009 for 42,700 US dollars including buyer's premium.<br/>In place of McQueen's original signature, the cards carry the real signatures of his two grandchildren, Chase and Madison McQueen. They are the keepers of the family legacy and took part in developing this limited edition. The watchmaker who builds the chronograph in Hanhart's manufacture also adds their signature to the back of the card.
A TOOL WATCH WITH A NOSTALGIC GLOW
SUPER LUMINOVA® Light Old Radium
This underscores once again the character of a true tool watch, built for use, not for the display case. This was a key consideration during the watch's development, because McQueen used his watch the same way. Even in the toughest races, it never left his wrist, under exactly the conditions a tool watch is made for.
