Description

PRECISION TIME MEASUREMENT ON AND UNDER WATER

PRIMUS Diver

Hanhart used to supply the navy with chronographs such as the single-pusher ``Caliber 40`` and stopwatches. Today, naval officers, recreational sailors and divers wear Hanhart timepieces on and under water. The strikingly fluted bezel of the PRIMUS Diver, which is reminiscent of the design of the legendary chronographs, has been realized as a concave, unidirectional rotating bezel with a scale for calculating the dive time. It can be adjusted counterclockwise and locked in minute increments. Thanks to the Super-LuminNova® coating on the numerals, indexes, hands and the sub-dials for small seconds and chronograph counters, the PRIMUS Diver is perfectly legible even in the dark.

A MUST-HAVE FOR THE WATER

OFF TO ADVENTURE

For safe and simple use in measuring time intervals or for navigating in the air and on water, but also for stopping intermediate and end times or distances on land, maximum functionality, ease of use and excellent readability were the top priorities. Unnecessary gimmicks or design elements on the case and dial were undesirable. Hanhart continues to be guided by this maxim. For precise time display and measurement, the models in the Primus collection are equipped with an automatic caliber modified to display the totalizers at 3 and 9 o'clock, which has an oscillating weight skeletonized to the Hanhart logo. This allows the small seconds at 9 o'clock and the 30-minute counter at 3 o'clock to be clearly arranged - a display that has been common at Hanhart from the very beginning. The clear, generous design of the Arabic numerals, indices, continuous minute scale and hands contribute to the perfect readability. Like the sub-dials for the small seconds and the chronograph counter, the Primus Diver's Super-LumiNova® coating makes them easily visible even in the dark.

SPORTY & CONTEMPORARY

NEW WEARING COMFORT

The solid, elegant and high-quality case made of stainless steel or black DLC-coated stainless steel emphasizes the sporty, contemporary appearance of the Primus chronographs; the flexible screw-in lugs ensure optimum wearing comfort on every wrist. The black or blue dial is covered by a convex, internally anti-reflective sapphire crystal, while a screw-down sapphire crystal back reveals the fascinating play of the movement and the oscillating weight. The Primus Diver is completed by a strap made of black, vulcanized rubber with a cast-in Hanhart logo and a practical, easy-to-adjust folding clasp with inset red marking and a practical, easy-to-adjust folding clasp with inset red marking.

A LEGEND BECOMES A TRADEMARK

THE RED PUSHER

The red reset button on the side is a striking feature of the PRIMUS collection. Legend has it that when a young pilot put on his Hanhart one morning, he discovered that his wife had painted one of the pushers with red nail polish so that he would always think of her and return unharmed. This striking red pusher became Hanhart's trademark from 1939 onwards. It prevented the pilots from unintentionally resetting the stopped time during the flight and thus leaving the correct course.

PERFECT FOR EVERY ADVENTURE

THE PRIMUS COLLECTION

In memory of Hanhart's eventful history, the young PRIMUS collection confidently presents itself with progressive design and state-of-the-art technology. The hint of historical elements is reflected in this line in the red comfort pusher made of anodized aluminium and in a striking fluted bezel. The innovative chronographs impress with their size, grip and ease of use and, thanks to the solid, high-quality stainless steel case, meet all the requirements of a reliable, robust and attractive watch. A strap made from the finest calfskin, canvas with a leather inside or vulcanized rubber ensures optimum comfort on the wrist. A screw-down sapphire crystal case back reveals the fascinating play of the movement and the oscillating weight. It is an ETA7750 or Sellita SW 500 basic movement with a modification for the typical Hanhart dial design with totalizers at 3 and 9 o'clock.
