THE PIONEER COLLECTION - A MUST FOR COLLECTORS
In 1938, Hanhart designed a single-pusher model for naval officers, which had its own “Caliber 40”. In this unusual wristwatch, all chronograph functions – start, stop and zero setting – are performed using the same pusher and always run in strict sequence. Unlike its counterpart with two pushers, the chronograph second hand cannot be kept running after it has been stopped; the next time it is pressed, it jumps back to its starting point.

A LEGEND BECOMES A TRADEMARK
THE RED PUSHER
Legend has it that when a young pilot put on his Hanhart one morning, he discovered that his wife had painted one of the pushers with red nail polish so that he would always remember her and return unharmed.
This distinctive red pusher became Hanhart's trademark from 1939 onwards.
It prevented pilots from unintentionally resetting the stopped time during flight and thus leaving the correct course.
