Place the watch on your wrist and pull the strap through the cut slit. Make sure that the template is not too tight on your wrist and that you have a little space between your fingers.

Hanhart returns to the roots of its most famous chronograph and launches the new 417 ES 1954 in the original case size of 39 mm.

THE PERFECT SIZE?
After the brilliant launch of the reissue of the 417 ES with 42 mm case almost two years ago, the traditional brand from Gütenbach in the Black Forest is now taking on the essence of the model: With the new 417 ES 1954, whose appended letter abbreviation stands for ‘stainless steel’ and the model's first year of production, Hanhart is celebrating the return of its most legendary stopwatch in its historically correct size of 39 mm as part of the official, non-limited collection.
MODERN CLASSIC FUSION
TIMELESS DESIGN
In a way, the 417 ES 1954 is also a time machine, as it combines the style-defining details of the past with the most modern materials of our time. The sharply drawn and highly polished bevels that mark the transition from the satin-finished horns to the flanks are particularly ingenious. As a typical stylistic feature of a Hanhart, the fluted bezel rotates continuously in both directions. Its red position markings are just as reminiscent of the historical model as the details on the dial of the watch. The typical Hanhart layout with totalizers at 3 and 9 o'clock and the lettering appear to be the spitting image of the early 417 ES. The numbers, fonts and brand lettering from back then have also been reactivated.

THE LEGENDARY 417
Robustness, reliability and readability. Based on these three criteria, Hanhart builds the 417 as the first pilot's chronograph for the newly founded German armed forces. Hanhart supplied the German armed forces with the timepiece for almost ten years, until the brand concentrated on building hand stopwatches from 1963. The few surviving examples of the historic 417 have since become coveted vintage chronographs for collectors.

The aim was never a copy of the vintage version, but a contemporary reinterpretation using today’s technology.

In addition to stop-seconds, it offers a power reserve of up to 58 hours when fully wound and is wound by hand.

QUALITY LEATHER OR STAINLESS STEEL
COMFORTABLE TO WEAR
On the wrist, a black calfskin strap with a waistband-style carpet pad ensures a high level of comfort from day one. The Alcantara lining also promises a particularly pleasant feel against the skin. A stainless steel pin buckle with the historic Hanhart logo provides a secure hold.
