Hanhart has collaborated with the renowned illustrator Matthew Miller who provides a new perspective on storytelling, quality and creativity by creating the most influential illustrations in the world. Matthew, just like Hanhart, is a pioneer of exceptional work. He merges fashion and horology together and takes his experience to the next level, his goal “Moda-Horlogerie”. The timepieces are all hand-painted for individuals who value style, art and culture.
Matthew, also known as “Sunflowerman”, was caught by the passion for watches by watch collectors and owners whilst he explored their incredibly emotional bond to timepieces. Stories of heirloom pieces from grandparents and new collections beginning with gifts between newlyweds stood out.
The tradition behind the PIONEER collection stretches all the way back to 1939 when Hanhart made the first aviator chronograph, and probably produced the most units. As a result, pilot watches of Hanhart were worn by the German armed forces and many personal and unbelievable stories are told until today.
The traditional design and moderate height of the case have made the PIONEER chronographs one of the most sought-after models. Everything is integrated harmoniously on the clearly organised dial: the recessed totalizers, the luminous Arabic numerals and the perfectly proportioned poirot hands for hours and minutes.
