COOPERATION
Since the start of their cooperation in 2014, Hanhart and Rally Dakar Pilots Stephan Schott and Holm Schmidt have forged a strong partnership. The precision, efficiency and manufacturing quality of rally MINIs and the chronographs from Hanhart hold an irresistible appeal for technology enthusiasts.
The international off-road team x-raid MINI ALL4 Racing which is domiciled in Trebur, Germany, makes the most powerful racing cars for its pilots. The engineers and technicians in Trebur provide the Hanhart pilots at the Rally Dakar 2015 with precision technology at the very highest level while Stephan Schott and Holm Schmidt accelerate and impress with their continuity in their individual driving skills.
UNCOMPROMISINGLY SPORTY
Hanhart designers created the PRIMUS Desert Pilot as a tribute to its namesake. The chronograph is finished entirely in a sportive sand-colour, with the exception of the black hands and indices. The distinctive design of the watch is an expression of the philosophy jointly held by Hanhart and rally drivers Stephan Schott and Holm Schmidt uncompromising performance, functionality and no gimmicks. Some of the materials are sand-blasted while others are aluminum andonised. This intriguing interplay ensures that the timepiece is an eye-catcher. Clear-cut, meticulously aligned contours underscore the chronograph’s sporty appeal.
A TOUGH MOVEMENT
Rather like an off-road MINI vehicle, which is as much at home on the track as it is off-road, the Hanhart PRIMUS Desert Pilot is ideally equipped to meet the stresses and strains of everyday use and of extreme situations. This is thanks, not least, to the automatic chronograph movement HAN 3809. The movement undergoes a series of tests, during which all the parts are subjected to tremendous forces. The chronograph is thus well equipped to withstand the breathtaking acceleration of the off-road MINI.
A glance through the transparent sapphire-glass back reveals a movement with 42-hour power reserve and skeletonised Hanhart rotor, underscoring the chronograph’s technical appeal.
