417 Bronze Hanhart X Revolution Edition Mk II 39: Copperhead

The new chronograph from Hanhart from the black forest presents itself in bronze with a case diameter of 39 mm. Following the successful debut of the 417 in 2020, a limited timepiece of a special kind was again developed this year in collaboration with the Revolution magazine and The Rake. A copper-colored dial with sunray finish, hands matching the color of the case, a brown leather strap and an embossed stainless steel case back underscore the one-of-a-kind character.

LIKE THE ICONIC PREDECESSOR: 39MM DIAMETER

Hanhart, the Revolution Magazine and The Rake unveiled the first reissue of the historic 417 as a limited edition chronograph in the fall of 2020. The new 417 Bronze Edition fulfills an unfulfilled wish of many collectors: the diameter is 39 mm, just like the historical model.

THE COPPERHEAD

Limited to 200 pieces, the chronograph shines with a copper-colored sunray dial, which shows different facets depending on light and brightness. Bronze-colored hands round out the  watch’s appearance, which is responsible for the timepiece’s nickname: Copperhead. The nickname comes from a species of viper native to North America, which is called Copperhead because of its copper-colored head.

HAND-WOUND CALIBER WITH SPECIAL DAMPING SYSTEM

Inside ticks the proven Sellita hand-wound caliber SW 510 with 28,800 vibrations per hour, bicompax layout and 23 jewels. A power reserve of at least 58 hours guarantees that you can get through the weekend with one winding. The running second is located at 9 o’clock and a 30 minute stop at 3 o’clock. The new Hanhart movement damping system provides additional protection against shocks and vibration.

ALUMINIUM BRONZE

The Copperhead uses an aluminum-bronze alloy, which takes a longer time to add patina. At the same time, the color tone is brighter. The heavily domed sapphire crystal with its inner anti-reflective coating guarantees absolute scratch resistance, and with a case height of only about 13 mm, the chronograph is not too bulky, despite the leather underband. With a water resistance of 10 bar, the pilot chronograph is also protected against moisture.

STAINLESS STEEL CASE BACK

The embossed case back, which bears the limitation number, the REVOLUTION Logo and our historical Logo, is made of stainless steel to prevent discoloration of the skin by the bronze case.

STRAP

The 417 ES Copperhead is produced with a high-quality, dark brown cowhide leather strap with white stitching and a matching lower strap. Alcantara on the inside ensures a comfortable fit on the wrist. The historical Hanhart logo can also be found on the PVD-coated pin buckle.

Strictly limited to 200 pieces

Our goal was to design the 417 ES Copperhead as slim as possible so that it appears present on the wrist but not over-proportioned. Despite the heavily domed sapphire crystal, it is only 13.3 mm high.
The crown is adorned with the historic “h”
